Building a community for all ages

“Age-friendly means respect, equity and inclusion. As persons age there is a need to recognize their value to society. We have come this far as a nation because of the wisdom of the ages, and the seniors in this society remind us of that wisdom. With age there may be structural inequalities that need to be erased so that our senior citizens can access those things in the community that are important to them and equity will do that. Within every culture there are hidden biases that need to be uncovered and erased so that our senior citizens are included and not excluded. Creating an age -friendly community ensures all of the above.”
